Public Information Meeting and Q & A Session March 10
Nordic Aquafarms has started the permitting process of its proposed land-based aquaculture (RAS) facility on the Samoa Peninsula. The community is invited to attend a public information meeting and question and answer session to hear from Nordic´s Nordic's commercial director, technical director, construction manager, in-house RAS engineers from Denmark and local vendors.
When: 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 10
Where: Wharfinger building, 1 Marina Way, Eureka
Panelists will give a short overview of the project and then address questions from the audience.
Topics will include:
• Project overview
• Permitting and CEQA process
• Water treatment system
• Geotech and tsunami design considerations
• Engineering and design of the facility
• Fish welfare and biology
• Potential economic opportunities and impact of projects like Nordic´s
After a brief overview, panelist will answer questions from the audience.
Attendees will also see a preliminary facility design as rendered by the project architects.
